The ZTE Flash Set to Launch November 11th At Affordable Price Point?
When carriers and manufacturers compete for your business, we all win! Sprint and ZTE have teamed up in the past launching various handsets ranging in capabilities. The companies announced a super affordable Optik tablet early in the year and also added the entry level ZTE Fury to the lineup. Now, however it is time that the two partners pump out a super phone, a flagship, or really just a solid device with some rather impressive specs at an amazingly affordable price. A few months ago, when the sun was shining and overcast was not in every forecast, TalkAndroid published a leaky picture of the ZTE Flash with Sprint branding. Today, a new light has been shined upon the Flash and it has again surfaced to the top of the rumor mill with a few more details.
Details on the new ZTE Flash have been ousted by an internal Sprint document to Engadget. The pictures show a few details of the handset and confirm that the ZTE Flash will be branded as simply the Sprint Flash. Additionally the document states it “Offers a best-in-class camera at a reasonable price.” According to the details offered up the smart phone is potentially slated for a November 11th release and will cost a mere $129.99! So what exactly would you be getting for such a small investment? A whole lot of phone, and camera! While exact specs and details on the Flash are still a rumor, we take these specs with a small grain of salt. Firstly the Flash will start with Android version 4.0, hopefully the carrier and manufacturer will get 4.1 on it as soon as possible, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. The screen on this 10mm thick design measures in at 4.5 inches, uses an IPS LCD panel and offers up a 720×1280 pixel resolution at an amazing density of 326 pixels per inch. The battery on the Flash is a bit under spec from what most would want, however its 1780 mAh rating should hold up daily for average users. Internally Android will get its go from a dual core 1.5 GHz processor that is most likely a Snapdragon S4 system chip. Additionally you can expect 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of ROM and expandable microSDHC memory options most likely up to 32 or 64 GB. The last bit of awesome comes from the Flash’s selling point. A high resolution 13 mega pixel camera will be embedded into the back of this new smart phone and surely offers up some awesome pictures. A 1 mega pixel front facing shooter is also available. Other connectivity can be had from 4G LTE, where available, Bluetooth version 4.0, Wi-Fi, and NFC. Any takers?
