The ZTE Grand S Gets Ready for the Big Show
The year of the phablet! With the help from Samsung 2012 has proved to be the year of the phablet and as the sands of grains pass though the hour glass, it seems that the niche will not let up! All the oversized smart phones! ZTE has steadily been pumping out solid mid range handsets for quite some time. Most recently the manufacturer paired up with metro PCS to launch the Avid 4G as well a flagship high tier handset found in the Sprint Flash. Next up from the manufacturer will be the ZTE Grand S which combines some awesome spec’s embedded into an amazing screen!
Earlier this month plans for the ZTE Grand S announcement were discovered in plain sight. A slate on the CES schedule for this year reads, “Introducing the ZTE Grand S”. Going down at 1:30-2:30 p.m in LVCC, S227-B the Grand S shall make its debut appearance. Initial rumors surrounding the handset have pin pointed it to having roots in the ZTE Nubia Z5 which has been consistently making its rounds in the rumor mill as of lately. The Grand S is said to come with a 5 inch FHD display that clocks in a 1080p HD resolution. Over the weekend new information has surfaced surrounding the Grand S, which includes a press rendering of the handset and a few other “teaser” shots including some early hand drawn designs and a boat, named the Grand S. Additionally the new leak brings us a model number, the Z753. Unfortunately additional details on what the Grand S will offer stop short. However if the Grand S is anything compared to the Nubia Z5 we can expect of course the 5 inch 1080p HD screen at an amazing 441 pixels per inch, a quad core Snapdragon S4 processor running the show with a bit of help from 2 GB of RAM and a class leading 13 mega pixel camera. Also expected to measure in at 7.6 mm the Grand S may have the ability to call its self the thinnest HD phone anywhere, measuring in at a mere 7.6mm.
