From one end of the ZTE spectrum to the other, the ZTE Blade III makes its way to the UK. While most of the time high end flagships get all the attention while the smaller, mid and entry level handsets do all the work keeping companies alive! The last we heard from ZTE the anticipation and rumor surrounding their Grand Memo continued to build as we all wait on MWC. Today we find ourselves on the other end of ZTE’s totem pole as the Blade III makes another appearance in the news while on its way to the United Kingdom.
The ZTE Blade III may not be at the top of the line, but what it packs inside, leaves its status irrelevant. The device first leaked out into the wild back in August showing itself off via some over compressed renderings and a handful of specifications. Fast forward a month from then and the Blade III was confirmed and released in “key markets” including Sweden and Finland. Today ZTE has gone on record and let the world know that the Blade III is now available in the UK! The handset is currently available via Virgin Media starting today for £79.99 or £18 a month. The Blade III comes with a 4 inch WVGA touch screen that is built into a body that measures in at 10.85 mm thin. Delving a bit deeper into the handset shows it carries with it a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 4 GB of internal storage with expandable microSD memory options up to 32 GB. The Blade III also carries with it a 5 mega pixel camera, a 1600 mAh battery, 3G connectivity, microUSB and Wi-Fi. Running the show you’ll find Android version 4.0. For the price, the ZTE Blade III should prove to be a solid performer.
