A Big Red Galaxy Note II For Verizon To Call their Own
The last of the Notes! The Samsung Galaxy Note took the mobile world, by storm and a bit by surprise. No one, thought that an oversized smart phone had a place in the hands of the consumers. Many have tired, and many have failed, but Samsung and its ever impressive Note series seemed to find the niche nicely and the rest is history. The original Note came under a siege of fire as its oversized presence felt out of place. Now in its second generation, the Note II is finally finishing up its launch by becoming available on the largest of them all, Verizon wireless.
The original Note was only aviable on two carriers, At&t and eventually T-Mobile. The Note II has recently entered the market place and has taken over the phablet market. Sprint has their own version, as does TMO and Ma’Bell. When the Note II shots were originally fired it was well established that all carriers would have their own variant of the device. Verizon took a bit longer to get to the finish line, most likely because of the competitor HTC DNA, but also so big red could brand the home button. Those last few words cannot be spoken without a disappointing shake of the head. The Verizon Wireless Samsung Galaxy Note II is available as of today and it will only cost you $299 alongside a new two year contract. The Note II’s across all carriers are mostly identical outside of their frequency ranges, and the big red variation is no different, of course with the exception of the branded home button. The Galaxy Note II in case you have been living under a rock lately is a super sized 5.5 inch touch screen device that resembles the build of the infamous Galaxy S III. The screen is that of a Super AMOLED flavor and offers up a 720×1280 resolution at 265 pixels per inch. It packs in a quad core Exynos chipset that clocks in at 1.6 GHz as well as 2 GB of RAM, and Arm Mali 400 MP4 quad core GPU, 16 GB of built in storage and expandable memory options up to 64GB with microSDHC cards. Around back an 8 mega pixel camera with all kinds of awesome features included full 1080p video recording resides. Up front a 1.9 mega pixel camera is also present. With GPS, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Hotspot, microUSB 2.0, MHL, DLNA and NFC this new Galaxy Note II is just like the rest of them!
