Verizon Finally Announces the Casio G’zOne Commando 4G LTE!
The Casio G’zOne Commando 4G LTE finally lands on Verizon’s shelves. Ah, the Casio Commando! Casio is of course a well know company that has either found itself on your wrist, playing your favorite music or even helping you on your math exam in school. But what you may not know is the company produces some rather awesome and highly durable G’zOne cell phones. The G’zOne Casio devices all have one thing in common. They are rugged, strong and most importantly functional. From the original Type-V and S series G’zOnes to their now second generation G’zOne Commando Android based smart phones the G’zOne is just getting started! Today, after months of rumors, leaks and speculation Casio and Verizon have finally announced their next device, the Casio G’zOne Commando 4G LTE.
The Casio G’zOne Commando 4G LTE is the latest in smart phones from Casio. The first Casio Commando was launched back in 2011 to much fan fare and now two years later Casio and Verizon are teaming up for version two. The Commando 4G LTE has been circulating the rumor mill like a hungry shark since earlier this year. The C811 aka the Commando 4G LTE made its way through the halls of the FCC last month and appeared again later in press renderings while an alternate variation known as the G’zOne Type L was announced and launched in Japan. Today however the Casio G’zOne Commando 4G LTE has been made official. Verizon has announced the new smart phone and confirmed its launch date for June 27th. The handset will run you about $100 bucks alongside a new two year agreement and only after a fifty dollar mail in rebate. Running Android version 4.0, the Commando 4G LTE uses a 4 inch WVGA quality touch screen that offers up a 480×800 pixel resolution and is protected by the likes of Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Its frame measures in at .54 inches thick and packs in an 1800 mAh battery. Internally the Commando will get its go from a more than capable Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 dual core processor that clocks in at 1.5 Ghz, 16 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM. Expandable micro SD memory is also supported up to 32 GB. The handset will also come with an 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash and full HD video recording while a 1.3 mega pixel shooter can be found up front. Additionally the Commando 4G LTE is MIL-STD-810G certified and can withstand drops from up to 1.22 meters, immersion in water at 1 meter for up to 30 minutes and can hold its own against dust, vibration, salt fog, humidly, solar radiation, low pressure and both high and low temperatures. The new smart phone also comes with all the standards like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth version 4.0, NFC, a 3.5 mm head phone jack and micro USB connectivity! Anyone interested?
