Updates for Messaging Clients on the BlackBerry
Most major messaging platforms have gotten updated to version 2.5.63 on the BlackBerry. The BlackBerry mobile version of WordPress has been updated as well, to version 1.4.5. The messaging client updates don’t really change much, but the WordPress update fixes problems with adding photographs to blogs.
Here is a quick list of which messaging clients have been updated:
- Windows Live
- Google Talk
Remember, since BlackBerry OS 6 integrates your social media and messaging platforms into one package, you might want to try stepping away from your IM+ or similar combination messaging program and try them out. No major changes have been spotted so far (besides a ‘Check for Update’ option), but let me know if you do spot anything. These updates look to be more of the improved performance/more stability kind, so if you were having problems before, you should update.
Which reminds me, how are you liking Social Feeds in BB OS 6? Do you bother with it or have you already grown accustomed to third party software for organizing everything? Is the feature a big enough reason to go through the OS update hassles? Anyone really post stuff to their WordPress blog from their BlackBerry?
To update, head over to the BlackBerry App World and download.
