The Samsung SPH-L300 Gogh Inches Closer to Sprint
Another day brings us another leak of a seemingly awesome Samsung device. In recent weeks Sprint has been at the forefront of many of these leaks. The Galaxy Reverb has recently been pegged for a Now Network premier, the Kyocera Rise is assumed to be headed into the yellow, LG’s LS860 is also rumored for a Sprint launch. But today another device is making its way into the Sprint rumor ranks, the Samsung SPH-L300 has appeared in the wild again but this time with an alter ego named Gogh!
The Samsung SPH-L300 started showing up in the mid days of May in a user agent profile that was unearthed by PocketNow. Shortly thereafter BreifMobile were given pictures of the mystery device next to its NFC enabled battery and details of its specifications bubbled to the top of the interwebs. More recently a new picture of the handset next to the legendary HTC One X has appeared alongside some new details of the device. Details on the new Samsung device are summing up to make the Gogh a pretty awesome smart phone. But before its internals, take a look at that build. Leaky specs state the device measures in at 121.9 x 63.8 x 12 mm. Its frame is said to be made of a faux metal and has its Android navigation buttons etched into the bottom lip. Whether its metal or plastic made to look metal-ish, the design is awesome. So what can we expect from this new Samsung Gogh? Starting on its exterior, the Gogh uses a 4 inch WVGA quality Super AMOLED Plus touch screen that clocks in a 480×800 pixel resolution. Around back a 5 mega pixel camera resides, while a front facing shooter seems evident from the pictures, but its details are still unknown. Internally the Gogh is no slouch. It comes packing 4GB of internal memory, a Qualcomm made 1.2 GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 MSM8960 chipset that gets a wee bit of help from the on board 1GB of RAM. Additional details give the Gogh, Bluetooth version 4.0, Wi-Fi and 4G LTE connectivity. The Gogh, as expected runs the latest in Android version 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. Additional details give the Gogh NFC connectivity with the likes of Google Wallet pre installed on the device.
