The Samsung Galaxy K Zoom Get’s Official
The Samsung Galaxy K Zoom is official! The Samsung Galaxy has come a long way. The flagship Galaxy from Samsung will never see its final form, and we are ok with that. From its early model to an endless array of variants the Galaxy is once again in Zoom mode! Since right around the time the Galaxy S5 was launched rumors, speculation and general details of a Zoom model have appeared in the headlines. Last we heard from the device was expected to receive its official announcement today, April 29th. Just as expected, Samsung has delivered the Galaxy K Zoom.
Generally speaking the Zoom variations of the Galaxy devices are basically point and shoot camera’s built into a smart phone housing that runs Android and Samsung latest in UI. The K Zoom is no different however Samsung is labeling it as a “Camera-Specialized Smartphone”. As expected the handset is a bit thinner and sports a slight redesign all the while staying true to its GS5 roots. So what can you expect from the second generation Zoom? The device starts with a 4.8 inch touch screen display that offers up a 720×1280 resolution at 306 pixels per inch. This screen is built into a 16.6 mm thin housing and gives its end users complete control over the device via Android version 4.4.2. The main attraction can be found around back of the K Zoom and it is a 20.7 mega pixel camera sensor with LED Xenon flash and a 10x optical zoom. Up front you’ll find a 2 mega pixel sensor for all your selfie needs. Internally the K Zoom comes running with an Exynos 5 Hexa system chip that uses a 6 core ARM Cortex-A15 & ARM Cortex-A7 processor that clocks in at 1.7 GHz. Additionally the device packs in an ARM Mali-T624 graphics processor, 2 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage and expandable micro SD memory options up to 64 GB. Powering this new camera is a 2430 mAh battery. Additional connectivity is provided by GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, micro USB 2.0, MHL and NFC. Unfortunately the details surrounding price and availability were left out of the official announcement however we expect them to be known very soon.
