Sprint flips the 4G switch in 3 more cities
Ahh the sweet smell of expansion, we see it around us more and more lately. Yesterday brought us news that T-Mobile and there HSPA+ has made its way into a few more cities, 9 to be exact. It seems like the two lower level carriers in the states are fighting to get better service to more people…Fast. Today brings news of a Sprint 4G expansion and the smell still lingers. One thing to be pointed out here, is T-Mobile does not have a HSPA+ device on the market, while Sprint on the other hand has only two, one of which only launching yesterday.
Sprints very own Matt Carter, who is the President of Sprint’s 4G stated, “We are proud to be the leader in the race to 4G” in the press release in regard to the expansion. Carter then goes on to state “Sprint is the first national wireless carrier to make 4G a reality for our customers. In particular, it’s rewarding to deliver 4G service to Boston – my hometown. And, we have been hearing from our customers in Boston, Providence and Daytona Beach that they want and need 4G service. Today, they have it.”
So if you didn’t catch that because of the italics, if you’re in Boston MA, Providence RI or Daytona Beach FL and you’re rocking a newly launched Epic 4G, an HTC EVO or an Overdrive device flip that 4G switch and test out these lightning fast speeds. Then be sure to let us know how fast your new service is.
The 4G era is upon us, what you will do with the amazing speeds has yet to be seen. But keep in mind expansion with these types of things take awhile.
Oh and for the record Sprint, “we have been hearing from our customers in Boston, Providence and Daytona Beach that they want and need 4G service. Today, they have it”
Have you heard LA and NYC’s cries for 4G? Because we surely WANT and NEED it!4G, expansion, Sprint
