Official specs for Sprints Epic 4G
Samsung in an attempt to claim their stake on the smartphone industry has recently dumped a whole line of Galaxy S phones into the American market. Four different models were announced and three of the four have been released to the respective carriers. However, one still remains to be fully exposed, and it looks like an official spec sheet has emerged for the likes of the Sprint Epic 4G. Let’s take a look at this awesome little device.
The most noticeable difference between the other Galaxy S phones released to different carriers is the Epic 4G has a slide out full QWERTY keyboard. Other noticeable differences are 4G capabilities. The Epic 4G runs a Samsung 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Processor; it sports a 4 inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch screen and retains multi-touch capabilities. The Epic 4G rocks a 5 mega pixel camera with LED flash that has 3 x zoom capabilities, this same camera can record your favorite moments into videos in HD at 720p. The Epic 4G also has a front facing VGA camera, and other standards most are used to at this point, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS. The Epic 4G can is both 3G and 4G compatible and runs 1GB of ROM and 512 MB of RAM. The Epic comes equipped with a 1500 mAh battery, has a six-axis motion sensor, a 3.5 mm headset jack for your tunes, can accept up to 32GB of external SD memory, and last but surely not least the Sprint Epic 4G will ship with Androids operating system version 2.1.
This spec sheet comes to the front via sdx-developers.com, however the official specs for this model have been posted on Sprints website for a couple weeks now, newsreleases.sprint.com. Figured we would show the specs of the model one more again before it makes its Epic debut onto the world, anticipated but not yet officially confirmed release date for the Epic 4G is August 20th.
