A Preview of the Sony Yuga C6603

There is nothing better than catching a glimpse into a gadgets future before anything becomes official! It’s like peering into a time machine of technology. A new leak out of Russia is pointing to a new Sony device that may just impress the pants off of you! Early last month the Sony Yuga appeared in leaky form at a German Android site Android-schweiz.ch and has once again appeared on the intranetz exposing a bit more about the devices build, specs and overall greatness. As the new leak appears, it can only be assumed an official launch is only around the CES corner of Las Vegas Boulevard.

Spec’s aside, this Yuga is a nice looking piece of hardware. While it still falls in line with boring standard slate design of the day, the Yuga shows off a rather simple build that boast beauty in premium materials as far as a piece of black slate will allow. Expected to be announced at this year’s CES the Yuga seems to be offering a bit of competition for the likes of the Droid DNA and Note II as its screen clocks in at the phablet range with a 5 inch LCD. Albeit a 5 inch 1080p HD screen with Sony’s Mobile Bravia Engine the Yuga is turning heads and the gaining some anticipation. Otherwise known as the C6603 the Yuga is also said to come packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 quad core system chip which early reports claimed to clock in at 1.5 GHz. Additionally the device is said to pack in 2GB of RAM and expandable microSD memory capabilities. The Yuga is also purported to ship with a 12 mega pixel rear facing camera, a standard USB input, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, LTE and it all will get its go from the likes of Android version 4.1.2 aka Jelly Bean. Unfortunately for details the buck stops there. However it is highly anticipated that the code name Yuga will be shown off in full form come CES early next month.

Any takers? A solid piece of hardware from Sony is usually worth its weight…at least in silver and should prove to be a solid, impressive piece of phone. Sound off in the comments below and let us know what you think of this piece of Sony awesomeness. And remember, all the best in Sony accessories are here!
