The Sony Xperia Go is Ready for Anything!
OK, Xperia go! Sony is on a roll with their recent departure from Ericsson taking the solid Xperia name sake into oblivion with many different model options. Recently the Xperia U made its way to the UK with an excellent build, a few color options and a really cool built in transparent bar that houses the much needed Android soft keys. Hot on the heels of the Xperia U’s release the company has introduced the Xperia Go for the active Android user base. Do you need a phone you can trust on those long kayaking adventures? The Sony Xperia Go is an amazing new dual core smart phone that offers up a super durable build and is aimed right at the active smart phone user. The Sony Xperia Go is a powerful little phone with all the excellent details you would expect from a Sony made smart phone. It provides an excellent slate style design that Xperia through and through. Specs wise, the Go lives up the Sony name. Internally the Xperia Go starts with a 1 GHz dual core processor, internal graphics processor, 512 MB of RAM, 8192 MB of ROM and 4 GB of internal storage with expandable microSD or SDHC memory up to 32 GB. The screen measures in at 3.5 inches and uses Sony’s Reality Display technology that is powered by the company’s Mobile Bravia engine and provides a 320×480 pixel resolution. The screen is made of a “scratch resistant mineral” material that allows for “wet finger tracking”. Around back the Xperia Go sports a 5 mega pixel camera that offers up “fast capture” features that can open the camera application from “sleep to snap in just over a second”. The Xperia Go will launch with the likes of Android version 2.3 aka Gingerbread, however, the press release states it will indeed be upgradeable to Android version 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich. But the kicker here is its IP67 rating. With this rating the Xperia Go sports the “highest level of dust and water resistance in a smartphone”. This rating means your Xperia Go will be “protected against dust and the effects of immersion between 15 cm and 1 m for 30 minutes”. The Xperia Go will be available in black, white and yellow and will hit the US market under the moniker of Xperia Advance.
