Sony Ericsson announces the Live with Walkman Android smart phone



If you remember the perfection of the Sony Walkman CD or cassette styles and loved them, then you may want to check out what Sony Ericsson is unveiling. In simpler times, you had either a cassette or CD styled Walkman device that could get you your music with the push of a button. Fast forward many years and leaps in technology you get to store thousands upon thousands of songs and multimedia right on your handheld devices. No needs to carry around those bulky CD’s or cassettes as smart phones have been embedding MP3 music players deep into their systems. And who better at it then the company that brought you the Walkman.

Recently Sony Ericsson launched the W8 which is a music centric multimedia device that is a Walkman branded rendition of the ever popular X8. Continuing this line up Sony Ericsson has announced the ‘Live with Walkman’ handset. The device as you see pictured is a beast when it comes to multimedia and managing your music. The Live with Walkman is a smart phone that is powered by the ever popular Android operating system. When released it will be running Android version 2.3 or Gingerbread if your keeping up with the desserts. This mid range smart phone packs all the power you will ever need. The Live with Walkman sports a 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen that rocks a 320×480 pixel resolution. Internally this bad boy is powered by a 1GHz processor as well as 512 RAM and expandable memory with a micro SD slot that can accommodate up to 32GB. The Live with Walkman also comes with up to 320MB of internal memory. With the Live with Walkman Android device you can shoot pictures with its   5 mega pixel camera that sports auto focus and an 8x zoom, this same camera can shoot video in 720p HD. A front facing VGA camera rounds out the cameras. Of course Sony Ericsson could not forget the music. The Live with Walkman device sports Sony’s xLoud technology to improve the audio output. The company also installed Qriocity services into the Live with Walkman which will get you music and video right from the palm of your hand. This excellent little music centric device is slated to hit select markets come Q4 this year. While the verdict on the pricing is still out, its safe to assume the Live with Walkman will surely be affordable.
