Samsungs Galaxy Tab gets exposed to Verizon employees
Samsung has been building the hype surrounding there new tablet the Galaxy Tab. The tablet is clearly on its way with more and more information leaking daily about the device. Thursday September 16th Samsung will be holding a press event in NY and will undoubtedly be launching the tablet then. But today Droid-Life has unearthed some internal Verizon documents giving their employees a peak at what’s to come.
With this information surfacing it seems that Verizon may have first dibs on the Galaxy Tab, while other carriers are sure to follow suit shortly after. The documents on the Galaxy Tab state it will be running Android version 2.2, will be Flash compatible with version 10.1, a 7 inch touch screen and “a number of exclusive apps”. The Galaxy tab will have Wi-Fi and a-GPS capabilities and can play video in full HD at 1080p, and record video with its 3.0 MP camera at 720p.
At the very bottom of the Verizon document it reads “The clock is ticking – the arrival of our first mobile tablet is just weeks away”. This simply could mean after the official announcement on Thursday there will be some time in between when these carriers actually see the tablet, and or it could mean Verizon is not going to have short term exclusivity out of the gate. You be the judge.
But are you expecting a flop? Or are you as excited as I’m about the new Galaxy Tab?. I’m praying to the tech gods for a Wi-Fi only version!Froyo, Android, 2.2, tablet, Galaxy Tab
