So now that we have the final word on Apple’s latest flagship the 4S, we get to move forward and see what the rest of the world has to offer. The next most highly anticipated device lurking around the rumor mill has to be the next Nexus. The new Nexus is said to bring a sandwich made of ice cream to the market and anyone interested in Android is surely interested in what Google will bring to the table. Recent rumors surrounding what is known as the Nexus Prime put Samsung on the build and well…that’s about as far as it went.
Today however, BGR who actually broke some of the original leaks has published a full spec listing of the next Nexus. The “trusted source” in this leak has once again pinned Verizon as the exclusive carrier of the Nexus Prime. The Prime is packing some pretty impressive specs as well. It starts with the very best Vanilla Android version 4.0 or Ice Cream sandwich. With this version of Android you’re getting just the operating system. There will be no skin, overlay or non Android UI, just pure unadulterated Ice Cream Sandwich. It will come with a 4.6 inch Super AMOLED HD screen that is said to be curved; the screen will carry a 1280×720 pixel resolution. Pretty impressive, but it gets a bit better. The body of the new Prime is said to measure in at a super thin 9mm. Internally is the Nexus Prime with run a dual core Cortex A9 processor that clocks in at 1.2 GHz this amazing power is backed by 1GB of RAM and 32GB of built in storage. The camera on this new device, is seemingly slacking in the mega pixel department measuring in at 5. This rear facing camera can shoot video in 1080p HD and its front facing camera sports a 1.3 mega pixel density. The Prime will be ready with LTE and or HSPA radios, of course depending on the carrier. It’s said to sports NFC, Wi-Fi, and a super large 1750 mAh battery. Sound like your next phone?
