Galaxy_Y As the world holds their breath in anticipation of the latest and greatest smart phone from Samsung, the Galaxy S IV the company is continuing their march into mobile dominance by launching another Galaxy halfway around the globe. The Samsung Galaxy Y Plus is a small, powerful little handset that has just appeared on Samsung India’s website. Last year Samsung introduced the Galaxy Y Duos Lite aka, the Galaxy Pocket DUOS which carry the model number GT-S5302. It features a rather Galaxy_Y_1small, but functional 2.8 inch QVGA touch screen that offers up a 240×320 pixel resolution. Internally the Y Plus will pack in an 850 MHz single core chip set that will chug along with 4 GB of internal memory and expandable microSD memory options. The Y Plus also packs in a 1200 mAh battery, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, micro USB and a 3.5mm headset jack. You can also expect a 2 mega pixel camera and an FM radio feature. The new Galaxy Y plus, while not a huge improvement to the original, does beef up the processor, memory and adds in Ice Cream Sandwich, but shrinks in screen size a bit. The Galaxy Y is currently sitting pretty on Samsung’s India website and is expected to cost about 8000 INR, which currently translates into about $147 bucks.
