Samsung’s Galaxy S 4G lands at T-Mobile for $199.99

Samsung’s quest to world cell phone dominance has recently been lead by its Galaxy S line up that has surely infested the air waves. But they are not done, not by a long shot. The Galaxy S line has conjured up some really nice phones here in the states, the Fascinate on Verizon, the Epic 4G on Sprint a Captivate on At&t and a Vibrant within the T-Mobile ranks. All of these devices are specifically designed per their respective carrier. A Vibrant refresh has been rumored for quite some time and it seems as if that refresh is no available as the Galaxy S 4G.

The Galaxy S 4G (Vibrant 4G) has been made available Wednesday for smart phone standard of $199.99. An initial press release published earlier this month put the new Galaxy S 4G at $149.99 and most assumed the price to be official. Today however it went on sale for $199.99, but why the price jump in a little over a week? Other rumors floating around point to T-Mobile offering up a truly unlimited plan, couple that with this new Galaxy S’s 4G capability, I think we have our answer. But what will two hundred bucks get you? Let’s take a quick gander shall we? The new Vibrant 4G…whoops. The new Galaxy S 4G will pack a 1GHz Hummingbird processor about 5 mega pixels worth of a camera that can record video in 720p, 4G speeds via T-Mobiles super fast HSPA+ and surprisingly enough Android version 2.2. However be sure to ask some details about OS upgrades before picking one of these up as Android version 2.3 is literally around the corner and based off of their track record it seems that Samsungs not to quick on their toes to get you updates. Other details on the new Galaxy S 4G include 4-inch Super-AMOLED display, a front facing camera, T-Mobile TV, pre installed copy of the block buster Inception, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and pretty much all the other goodies one would expect on a smart phone of the day but no flash for your pictures.

So are you ready for “the fastest smart phone running on America’s Largest 4G Network”? Let us know if you will be picking up a Vibra….Galaxy S 4G from T-Mobile.
