Samsung Announces their Galaxy Core Advance


Samsung announces a new Galaxy, the Galaxy Core Advance! Another day, another Samsung made Galaxy smart phone or tablet! For the last few years or so it seems that every day open our browsers a new Samsung device is in the headlines looking to shake up the standard. Samsung is well known for producing some mighty fine gadgets and the new Galaxy Core Advance is no different. While the handset traditionally would be found on the mid section of the smart phone spectrum, it performs and brings back buttons!

Remember buttons? It seems like every where we turn in the electronics world, buttons are disappearing and being replaced by fancy touch sensors. The Galaxy Core Advance however is bringing buttons back! Recently Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Active took a stab a reintroducing some buttons while before that the Xcover 2 did its thing buttons in tow. Today Samsung has announced its next generation Galaxy Core Advance, and guess what? It’s got some buttons! The last we heard from the Galaxy Core devices was the Core Plus which sported a similar build to the GS3 with a physical home button, volume rockers and power button. The Galaxy Core Advance adds a physical pusher to the menu, home and back buttons as well as the standard volume and power buttons but also adds a shutter button and voice record button to the side of the device. So yea, it has buttons but what else does the Core Advance have to offer? The device starts with a 4.7 inch 480×800 touch screen that gives its end users access to Android version 4.2 with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI. Internally it packs in a 1.2 GHz dual core processor that packs in 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage as well as expandable micro SD memory. The Core Advance also packs in a 2000 mAh battery, a 5 mega pixel camera, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS and micro USB 2.0 connectivity. The Core Advance is expected to be launched early next year in unknown territories. It is expected however to be rather affordable as the competition in the mid range devices is currently heating up.
