The New Samsung Galaxy Appeal Shows Love to your Pockets

Good news everyone, a new Samsung Galaxy phone has been released. A few years ago Samsung entered a new contender into the mobile world with plans of global domination. Fast forward those few years and it looks as if their mission has been accomplished. With that said, there are no signs of Samsung letting up, and no one seems to be blaming them for it. The Galaxy line for Samsung has been defined as their current bread and butter, the kind of stuff that puts food on the table. As a surprise to really no one, Samsung and Ma’Bell have announced a new Galaxy device with the likes of the Galaxy Appeal GoPhone. A QWERTY sliding, Samsung made Android smart phone that’s At&t prepaid? Times…they are a changing!

As this new handset is on the lower rung of mid range, the appealing part surely comes from its freedom from contract, or its QWERTY keyboard, or maybe its Samsung build. We will just assume its appeal comes from the combination of all of these factors. Internally the Samsung Galaxy Appeal is mid to low range at best, but is does indeed have all the juice one needs to get through a day. The Appeal runs with the likes of Android 2.3 also known as Gingerbread. Delving a bit deeper shows the device is packing in an 800MHz ARM Cortex A5, Qualcomm MSM7225A chip set that gets some help from its 512 MB of RAM and 1.8GB ROM. Up front above strategically placed above the four row keyboard is a perfectly sized 3.2 inch HVGA touch screen that clocks a 480 x 320 pixel resolution. Around back a 3 mega pixel camera can be found ready to snap stills or record video of your life. The Galaxy Appeal also has expandable microSD memory capabilities, a 1300 mAh battery, is made with 80% recycled material and weighs in at a mere 4.3 ounces. The Samsung Galaxy Appeal is slated to be a Wal-Mart exclusive starting on June 5th. It will run you about $150 bucks and will trickle into At&t stores come July 15th.
