The Samsung Attain and LG Connect Strengthen the Metro PCS LTE selection

CES is under way and while we may not be there checking out all the new excellence, we can surly check it out. As the convention gets under way and prepared for a long week of epic technology we get to see two new smart phones that will be making their way to the trusted lines of Metro PCS. The Samsung Galaxy Attain 4G and the LG Connect 4G are two new smart phones that are 4G LTE compatible and will surely make for an excellent connection under the Metro PCS moniker. The new smart phones improve the LTE line up for Metro PCS and expand the 4G playing field, but are either for you?

Samsung has been a tare with their Galaxy S line and while the new Galaxy Attain is not an S it surely fits the bill in Samsung quality and connectivity. This epic candy bar styled phone runs with the power of Android version 2.3 aka Gingerbread. It of course also packs in the power of LTE 4G data speeds and much more, just not too much! This mid ranged Android smart phone also packs in a 1GHz CPU that is backed by 512 MB of RAM and internal graphics processor. It also comes with expandable micro SD memory up to 32GB. Other connectivity details will allow for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and of course micro USB 2.0. The Galaxy Attains’ screen measures in at 3.5 inches and sports a 320×480 pixel resolution. You can also expect a 3 mega pixel camera with LED flash, video recording and calling as well as a 1.3 mega pixel front facing shooter. The Galaxy Attain will be “for a limited time only” priced at $199 after a $50 mail in rebate and terms of a new plan. Which are very affordable I should add.

The LG Connect 4G seemingly has a bit more to offer. When LG is not co-creating super over priced high fashion smart phones they are busy making solid phones that get the job done day in and day out for any level of need. The LG Connect 4G seems to be no different. The Connect 4G is Metro PCS’s first dual core offering and it has all the bells and whistles you’ll need. The Connect 4G is also known as the MS840 and is built around a 4 inch WVGA NOVA display that provides an perfect 480×840 pixel resolution. Internally you’ll find Android version 2.3 or Gingerbread working effortlessly with the likes of a dual core 1.2 GHz processor. You can also expect a graphics processor hard at work along with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage. It also has expandable microSD or SDHC memory with its expansion slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and micro USB connectivity. Around the back you’ll find a 5 mega pixel camera, with LED flash, 720p video recording and a VGA quality camera up front for all your video conferencing needs. The Connect 4G also enlists Corning’s Gorilla glass for the cherry on top touch. While there is no word on the Connect 4G’s pricing you should expect to have your chance at it sometime in the coming months.
