The Samsung ATIV S Officially Available In Germany
The Samsung ATIV S is now official in Germany! Last year as Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform started to really ramp up, Samsung announced the ATIV brand last year in conjunction with a slew of tablets, a handful of smart phones and some laptop PC’s. The one thing all ATIV devices have in common is Windows Phone and the smart phones are finally making their way to market.
The Samsung ATIV S has gone through its trials and tribulations in the rumor mill and it looks to be time for someone, anyone to actually use it! The handset is now available in Germany and will only cost you anywhere between €519 and €469 depending on where exactly you pick it up at. The ATIV S is currently the high end of the line. The ATIV Odyssey currently fills in the lower ranks and is readily available. The ATIV S is a slate style build that measures in at a mere 8.7 mm thin and houses a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED touch screen that clocks a 720×1280 pixel resolution at 306 pixels per inch. Internally the ATIV S packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus system chip that offers a dual core processor that works at 1.5 GHz. Graphics get their processing from an Adreno 225 GPU and it all comes together with 1 GB of RAM and 16GB or 32 GB of built in storage. Expandable microSDHC memory options are also available up to 64GB. Around back of its standard build you’ll find an 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video recording capabilities. Additionally you’ll have access to a front facing 1.9 mega pixel shooter. We can also expect the ATIV S to carry with it GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 3.1, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0 as well as NFC. Now all we need is this new ATIV S to hit the shelves of T-Mobile!
