Samsung Annouces the Galaxy Grand 2
The Samsung introduces the Galaxy Grand 2! Samsung is back at work tossing out new handsets and seeing if they stick! The Samsung Galaxy Grand was originally launched back in January and subsequently hit store shelves across South Korea. The device was seemingly based on the build of the Galaxy S3. While the devices external build was quite similar to the GS3 its speaker placement and camera layout was similar to that of the Galaxy Note 2. Today, Samsung announced the Grand’s successor, the Galaxy Grand 2. The new device once again borrows some design language from previous models, this time the Grand 2 is basically a stylus free Samsung’s Note 3.
Samsung has officially taken the veil off of the new Galaxy Grand 2. Also known as the SM-G7105 and the SM-G7106 the Galaxy Grand 2 currently does not have a price tag or a launch date attached to it, however it is expected to be released in China first in short order. The Grand 2 starts with a 5.25 inch HD touch screen that offers up a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution at 280 pixels per inch. Around back the Grand 2 sports a rather familiar faux leather backing and houses an 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash. A 1.9 mega pixel front facing camera is also present. Internally the Grand 2 sports a Quad Core 1.2 GHz processor of unknown origins. Additionally it comes with 1.5 GB of RAM, 8 GB of built in storage and expandable micro SD memory options up to 64 GB. The Grand 2 also sports dual SIM capabilities, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and Micro USB and that as they say, is that.
