The Nokia X Teases Its Announcement with More Android Innuendo
The Nokia X aka the Nokia Normandy is getting ready for its debut in Android green? Whether you knew it as the Normandy or the Nokia X, this mystery phone has been lurking around the rumor mill since November of last year. The mysterious handset was claimed by its original leaker Evleaks, to be the ‘missing link’. As the months passed however the only link anyone wanted to make was between Windows Phone 8 and Android. As the rumor and news surrounding the handset continued to find its way into the headlines the speculation surrounding a Windows Phone running Android apps or simply a Nokia made Android currently hold the title as most likely. Today however more evidence surrounding the Nokia X has surfaced.
Last week Nokia’s Facbook page oddly took a liking to the color green. Yesterday EVleaks got their hands on a new Nokia X teaser image that clearly depicts the green handset. Today a new super green image has appeared via Nokia and suggests its readers to book mark the companies live cast webpage for its announcement in Barcelona on February 24th. The image uses four arrows to clearly form a letter X in its negative space. With the teaser image and this piled high, it may be safe to give the handset it name; the Nokia X. Additionally the image from EVleaks also has super small writing along the right edge. According to those with eyes far better than my own, this writing says “Android is a trademark of Google Inc. © 2014 Nokia All rights reserved.” What we can expect from the Nokia X is indeed Android, however is capabilities will lie in what’s built in side. Currently the Nokia X is expected to be a rather meager phone with a 4 inch touch screen with WVGA resolution, a dual-core Snapdragon processor running at 1 GHz, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage and expandable micro SD memory options. Additionally it is rumored to come with a flash-less five mega pixel camera, a 1500 mAh battery and may be offered up in a dual SIM variation.
