The Nokia Lumia 710 makes its self Available Stateside
Browsing mobile news this morning we went from a brief yawn to an almost Kool-Aid ohhh yea with the latest announcement from T-Mobile. Back in October Nokia held their annual Nokia World conference to show off the latest goods and help generate a bit of buzz amongst consumers and developers alike. While the smile I had surrounding the Lumia 800 was not a perma grin per-say, I like many other were impressed. The only problem is the idea that these new Nokia models were going to make their way to the states was slim. Today the little brother to the 800 was announced for stateside soil. The Lumia 710 is now officially a T-Mobile option!
While the Lumia 710 is not quite as beautiful and impressive as its higher end counterpart it is surely worth a gander. In case you were wondering the 710 is indeed an impressive device. This new smart phone was once known as the Nokia Sabre and has just been exclusively gobbled up for an affair with Tmo. So what does this new phone offer? Firstly it uses the latest and most original operating system WP7. It gets better I promise. Its ClearBlack LCD display measures in at a perfect 3.7 inches and clocks in an impressive 800×480 pixel resolution. Internally it gets it’s go from a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm made Snapdragon processor. This processing power is then backed by 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage. Additional fun stuffs add in a 5 mega pixel camera with LED flash that can record video in 720p HD at 30 fps. Need connectivity? Sure. It comes equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, and micro USB. Add in an FM radio (Yaay) and a fully functional web browser and you have a perfect little phone.
Sadly enough one of the best parts of the Lumia 710, will not be available to American based customers. When original launched the color options for the Lumia ranged nearly a whole rainbow. Stateside all you’ll get access to is either black or white. Boring! While that may be a downside, the Lumia 710 will only run you about $50 bucks under new terms of contract. Yes that’s 50 bucks for an HSPA+ device that is capable of pulling down super fast mobile data speeds. The Lumia 710 will be made available to anyone interested come January 11th. Any takers?
