A New Samsung Galaxy Express Expected for Launch
While the mid and low range smart phones continue to progress on the heels of the high end flagships, there are still companies playing the field! Samsung is one of those manufacturers with their hands in every cookie jar they can find. From the highest end Galaxy III’s and Note II’s to the lowest end Admire 4G’s and ATIV Odyssey’s Samsung is working hard! One of the latest to peg itself smack dab in the middle of the totem pole is the Galaxy Express. Originally the Samsung Galaxy Express launched here stateside and joined the ranks of At&t’s smart phone line up! But not to put all their eggs in one basket, Samsung is looking to take the Galaxy Express internationally.
According to sammyhub.com the new Galaxy Express is set to make waves. Keep in mind that Samsung and At&t launched a Galaxy Express in September of last year. This new Express is for the most part, the same mediocre phone. The new version starts with the likes of Android version 4.1 aka Jelly Bean and sports a GSIII reminiscent build that measures in at 9.3mm. Up front it packs in a 4.5 inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen with a 480×800 pixel resolution at 207 pixels per inch. Delving a bit deeper shows us a 2000 mAh battery, a dual core 1.2 GHz processor (a slight step down from the original’s 1.5 GHz S4), an assumed Adreno 225 GPU, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage and expandable microSDHC memory up to 32 GB. Around back you’ll find a 5 mega pixel camera with 720p HD video recording while a front facing 1.3 mega pixel shooter is available for your self portrait needs. The new Galaxy Express will also come with Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with GLONASS, Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, micro USB 20, MHL, NFC and 4G LTE connectivity. While the Galaxy Express may lack in a few areas’s that most hardcore users cannot live with, it does indeed seem to be a rather solid handset. Pricing, availability and launch dates are unfortunately missing from this tidbit of news, however an imminent release is most likely in the cards.
