The New Motorola RAZR i MT788 For China Mobile
When a company in any market place finds a winner, the tendency is to burn it for all its worth! Motorola found much success in the RAZR branding in the past producing over 15 variation of the infamous razor thin flip style icon the RAZR. After a bit of down time for the brand Motorola has resurrected its most popular handset by adding the new slate style design and the likes of Google’s legendary Android operating system. When Motorola announced the Droid RAZR, the flood gates opened. The company is continuously producing variations of the handset including the RAZR M, the RAZR MAXX, the HD versions and now a variation of a variation in the RAZR I MT788.
The Motorola RAZR i was announced back in September and added a bit of twist to the RAZR M. The RAZR i added “Intel Inside” to its branding as its chip set was supplied and built by Intel. Today, the company has announced a new version of the i that is headed to China. The Motorola RAZR i MT788 is essentially the Euro bound RAZR i, just with a bit of variation in the battery and its build. The build is said to be nearly identical to the China Telecom XT788, and sports a slightly smaller battery from the RAZR i’s 2000 mAh to 1735 mAh found in the new i. Headed to China Mobile next month this new RAZR is actually rather powerful! It comes with a 4.3 inch Gorilla Glass protected AMOLED touch screen display that offers up a 960×540 pixel resolution. Internally the new RAZR i runs an amazingly capable 2 GHz Intel Atom Z2480 processor that allows for easy control over its Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. Addtionally the new RAZR i packs in 1 GB of RAM and 4 GB of ROM and can support up to 32 GB of expandable microSD memory. Around back expect an 8 mega pixel camera that can record video in full 1080p and a front facing shooter that clocks in at 1.3 mega pixels. While you shouldn’t expect the new variation of the RAZR i here in the states China Mobile customers will be expecting a new awesome RAZR come December.
