Two New Colors Of The HTC One V exposed, release just around the corner
You may or may not remember all the commotion HTC and Nokia stirred up this year at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. What you may not remember are the lonely loners that were lurking in the background of all the hype. If you caught wind of the Nokia PureView 808, you may have missed the Lumia 610, or if you are fully aware and waiting on the HTC One X, you may have missed out on the details of the One V. For HTC the One X was the look at me model while the One S and V pulled in the rear.
Even though companies seemingly prepare all year for their announcements at MWC, sometimes things just don’t go as planned. The HTC One V was available for some hands on time at the conference this year, but HTC asked anyone interested to not power the device on due to some operating system issues with the early model. While those are kinks that can surely be worked out, it looks as if we may have some new flavor options on the One V. The HTC One V maybe the lower end of the three devices announced, but it packs in a styling all its own…ok maybe not its own. The One V uses the power of the ‘chin’! It takes design cues from the legendary HTC Hero, Legend and even the G1. Its uni-body build is fabricated out of a single piece of aluminum and sports kind of ‘kinked’ out chin. Initially the One V showed up to the party rocking a rather drab brown suit, but if new renders and rumors are to be believed the One V will also ship in purple and black. Ameblo.jp, also known as Blog Of Mobile is a Japanese based blog dedicated to mobile devices. This site has recently uncovered the two new color offerings. HTC’s website currently has the grey version of the device published and according to these new details more options are on the way. In case you were wondering what the One V has to offer, it is a lot. The One V packs in a 3.7 inch WVGA touch screen that packs in a 480×800 pixel resolution. Internally a 1Ghz single core chip set is backed by the power of 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. The operating systems will be handled by the likes of Android version 4.0 and a helping hand provided by HTC’s Sense 4.0. The One V also packs in a 5 mega pixel main camera that can record video in 720p as well as the very best from Beats Audio. Other details include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS.
The One V is slated for its European debut in April. While the price is currently unknown the rumors of it making a US Cellular, Metro PCS and Virgin Mobile debut surely put the One V on the more affordable side of the price tag…right?
