Motorola Photon 4G becomes official
Motorola has launched two new smart phones today under the Sprint moniker and they are quite impressive. Motorola has been pumping out quality devices for a very long time, and the Photon 4G and Triumph are no different. Say what you want about a locked boot loader or MotoBlur, Motorola’s devices satisfy users and deliver the best our mobile world has to offer. Today at a joint event in NYC Sprint and Motorola announced two new devices. The Photon packs two firsts from Motorola, with its kickstand and 4G connectivity. Let’s take a look at the Motorola Photon 4G shall we.
The first thing you may notice about the shape of the Photon is its slightly rounded edges, which for some reason reminds me of the Atrix 4G. This shape is perfect for horizontal viewing and seemingly fits nicely in the hands. The Photon 4G also sports an “EVO” thick kickstand for multimedia viewing. However the Photon packs more of a punch then that. This new monster phone from Motorola comes equipped with a 4.3 inch qHD display that carries a 540×960 pixel resolution. This Android powered Photon 4G ships with the latest version 2.3 and is powered by its super snappy 1GHz dual core Tegra 2 processor. The Photon 4G stays quick with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. The Photon also comes equipped, like it or not with the latest rendition of MotoBlur which continually seems to get better over time. One of the best parts about this new Photon 4G? The device comes with an unlocked bootloader(Update* This has been confirmed to not be true). This probably does not mean much to the average user, but if it does then you know why it’s great. Also the new Photon 4G comes fully equipped with the scratch resistant Gorilla glass. You can also find an 8 mega pixel camera as well as a front facing camera and full support for Motorola’s legendary Webtop functionality. The Photon 4G is also the first 4G world phone that sports both CDMA and GSM technology. The Motorola Photon 4G is an excellent new device that will be the leader of the pack for at least a little while…
