Motorola Milestone 3 Makes its way to China
When the Motorola Droid makes its way around the world it goes by a different alias, the Motorola Milestone. We here in the states know the Milestone simply as the Droid, the Motorola Droid that is as the whole Droid thing is blurring lines, or not. Either way a 3rd generation Motorola Droid – sorry Milestone has just been announced for release in China. In the past the Motorola Droid would make its way into the states and under the nurturing wings of Verizon, and then make its way around the world as the Motorola Milestone. In a move to make it seem like they’re not milking this Droid thing to much and too fast the 3rd gen Droid hits the open waters first this time and will most likely make its way back to our subsidized shores soon. But for now all we can do is gloat in its high end specs and purty design. So let’s do that.
The 3rd generation Milestone has been leaking all over the interwebs in the past few months and has become an official release set to launch in China during the third quarter of 2011. The official model number if your keeping track is XT883 and will surely be launching under the moniker Droid 3 sometime soon with Big Red. The Milestone 3 or whatever you feel comfortable calling it is quite impressive. The sliding QWERTY sports the same overall design as its originators, but comes fully equipped with a 5 row QWERTY that rocks a dedicated number row. Above this much requested five row keypad is an excellent 4 inch qHD touch screen with a 540 x 960 pixel resolution. Under the hood of the Milestone 3 you will find (if you actually open it) a dual core Tegra 2 processor that has the ability to let the 8 mega pixel camera record video in full 1080p high definition. The Milestone as expected by new Android phones is running the latest and greatest from Android version 2.3 or Gingerbread, while the word Blur has been left out of the official press release and seemingly no other sites are reporting on it, it may be safe to assume Motorola’s idea of making the world forget about MotoBlur starts here? However, it will be safer to assume MotoBlur is all over this thing and the bootloader is locked, but who cares right. The Droid 3 –sorry the Milestone 3 comes ready to save with 16 GB of internal memory and is expandable up to 32GB and has the ability to keep all your internets saved in one special place.
So a new Droid releases into the wild are you Droid 2 users jelly about that fifth numeric row in the keypad? Let us know how you feel about the new Milestone 3 and if you want it stateside.Motorola Milestone, motorola, motoblur, Android, release
