The Motorola Atrix 2 and Motorola Droid RAZR or Spyder enter the Rumor Mill

Since the Google-rific buyout of Motorola Mobility a few months back we really haven’t heard much from the manufacturer. But the holidays are right around the corner, and that means we get some new juicy Motorola hardware! Two new Motorola handsets have surfaced to the top of the internet rumor mill. While details on the newly leaked devices are still unconfirmed, the juicy specs are getting a bit thicker as the leaks continue. Let’s take a look at what we know, shall we?

The Motorola Atrix was brought into this world at CES last year and changed the way users can do mobile by including the revolutionary Webtop application. This application if you are unaware allows you to dock your Atrix with a small laptop. We have seen leaks of the Atrix 2 in the past, but new leaks are always awesome.  The new Motorola Atrix and its newly revised Webtop dock has been leaked out by, while it’s still all unconfirmed it sounds pretty nice. The Atrix 2 has been lurking around under the code name Edison. However according to the details the Atrix 2 name will make it to market. The device is said to run with a 4.3 inch qHD screen, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage that can make its way up to 40 GB with a bit of external microSD. While speaking of memory the Atrix 2 is said to come equipped with a 2GB microSD preinstalled. It’s also ready to snap some pictures or record some video with an 8 mega pixel rear facing shooter with LED flash and auto focus. The Atrix 2 is likely to have 4G capabilities, whether it will be LTE or HSPA+ is still up in the air, and yea it’s still an At&t exclusive. Of course if the handset gets an upgrade we would surely expect the Webtop dock to get the same. The Webtop dock has a slight design changed and has come down to 10.1 inches from its original 11.6 and is said to work with the Motorola Spyder as well as the Atrix 2. Sound good?

The Motorola Spyder has recently gotten its day in the leaky limelight as Thisismynext.Com continues with the Motorola spills. The Motorola Spyder is assumed to be the Motorola HD that was leaked awhile back. The lucky individual that had the chance to fondle the Spyder has gone on the anonymous record saying the Spyders ‘About’ screen labels the device as the Droid RAZR, so it’s possible the most iconic mobile phone (outside of the iphone) will see some rebranding. But who cares about a name right, what’s inside that count. According to the latest leak the Droid HD Spyder RAZR is made up of a Kevlar housing which is safe guarded with Gorilla glass and a “splash-guard” coating according to TIMN.Com. With these materials combined into one build you probably won’t have to worry about inadvertently damaging it. With a Kevlar build I’m almost sold, but what else. This new phone is rumored to ship with a first on a phone 4.3 inch qHD Super AMOLED 960×540 screen. Just like that the ‘almost’ dissipates, but there’s more. The Spyder or Droid RAZR (whatever you want to call it) is a 4G LTE device that ships with an 8 mega pixel camera that can do video in 1080p as well as an HD front facing shooter (most likely 720p). More importantly it will come equipped with a dual core 1.2 GHz processor and 1GB of RAM. The RAZR Spyder is also said to come equipped with Motorola’s now infamous Webtop application.

So, what do you think of these newly leaked additions to the Motorola line up? That Spyder, Droid RAZR or Droid HD, whatever it will be called looks and sounds amazing; hopefully it will be as thin as an original RAZR.
