The LG VU Becomes the LG Intuition
New details surrounding the LG VU’s entrance into the American market have emerged! Verizon customers, get ready to be phablet-ized. The LG VU was the companies answer to Samsung’s recent Note take over. The Galaxy Note if you don’t remember is an oversized smart phone that comes with a stylus and all the features one could expect from an Android based tablet, but with a built in phone application. The LG VU was announced back in February and was released to Korean markets, since its launch its American potential has been put into question and through the rumor mill a few times. Today, the American-ized LG VU has gotten a name and a price…maybe.
The LG VU has been circulating a rumored launch on Verizon and today a bit of new internal big red information give the VU a new name, a price tag and maybe even a release date. According to some new leaky information and some press shots of the device Droid-Life has come up on some details about the VU. The biggest news? The LG VU will be known as the LG Intuition when it becomes available to Verizon customers. Details of its launch give it a $199 price tag on a new contract and about $550 at full price. The LG Intuition is a slate style build that sports the same 5 inch build that the VU was born with. Its stylus however is still in question with the Intuition. Specs wise the Intuition is likely to be very similar to the Korean version of the device. However the Intuition will come rocking 4G LTE connectivity for big red. Its IPS LCD touch screen measures in at 5 inches and offers up a 768×1024 pixel resolution at 256 ppi. It will run with the likes of Android version 4.0 with the LG Optimus UI. Internally it should come with a dual core 1.5 GHz processor and 32 GB of built in storage. Around back an 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash, auto focus, Geo tagging, video recording and a front-facing 1.3 mega pixel camera. Additional connectivity features include, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, micro USB, HDMI and DLNA.
The launch of the LG Intuition is expected in the next few weeks with a rumored September 15th launch date.
