LG Prada 3.0 Becomes Official

LG is continuing to make waves in the Android sector of the mobile world and their ritual of teaming up with the ultra popular fashion based company Prada is back on the table, this time in Droid form. The original Prada phone was of course made possible by the folks at LG back in 2007 and again the Prada II in 2008. This device was one of the original all touch screen devices with a simple set of soft keys. Because of its simplistic design it was called in and compared to the iPhone and controversy surrounded the two devices. As that drama is seemingly behind us, Prada and LG have teamed up again for the LG Prada 3.0.

Back in November the two companies agreed to link up again for the first time in five years to make a new smart phone, this time with Android at the helm. The new Prada 3.0 is slated for an imminent release to South Korea and will be found using up SK Telecom and KT connections. Off contract the Prada 3.0 will run users around 900,000 won, which is roughly $780 bucks. So what’s in a name or a price tag? Well quality of course! The Prada 3.0 is run with the power of Android version 2.3 or also known as GingerBread. Internally the OS will get is go with a 1 GHz TI OMAP 4430 dual core processor which is backed by 1GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory. Expandable memory is possible up to 32GB via its microSD SDHC card reader.  Out back an 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash, auto focus, 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps and video calling capabilities, resides. Up front expect a 1.3 mega pixel shooter. Other connectivity details include Bluetooth version 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/a, and micro USB. The Prada 3.0 is built on a 4.3 inch touch screen that comes equipped with a super bright NOVA display that provides a 800×480 pixel resolution. The Prada 3.0 has a very minimalist design internally as well as externally. Check out this video from LG and let us know what you think.
