Details of An LG Optimus LTE II That Verizon Can Call Their Own
Back in May almost hours before Samsung announced the now legendary Galaxy S III, LG announced its Optimus LTE 2 a serious and direct competitor to the GSIII. The Optimus LTE II has some serious specs, a huge build and is all that you’ll want in a smart phone. Announced in May, the Optimus LTE II has made its way onto all South Korean carriers but since its announcement the only question on everyone’s mind here stateside is when! Well, if these new leaky snap shots and details are to be believed, it may be sooner than we think, of course this, assuming you’re a Verizon customer!
Earlier this week Engadget got their hands on some blurry snap shots of what could initially only be described as the LG VS930. Shortly their after, the service manual for the device as well as an LG “Product Information” slide leaked to the surface of the web via XDA. These additional printed details, pretty much confirmed the inkling of this being the Verizon bound LG Optimus LTE II and even give it a potential launch date of July 13th. But as I write this, it looks like July 13th will come and go without the launch of this amazing handset. So what can or should you expect from this monster by time it makes its way to the likes of Big Red? Well, you can kiss your dreams of 2GB of RAM good bye, as the latest spec sheet says that’s not in the cards. But with all its other amazing-ness, it won’t be too hard to forget. The LG Optimus LTE II starts with a 4.7 inch capacitive touch screen with a True HD IPS display that offers up a 1280×720 pixel resolution. Internally the device is set to run with a 1.5 GHz dual core Snapdragon MSM8960 SoC processor and 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. You can also expect an 8 mega pixel auto focus camera around back as well as a 1.3 mega pixel shooter up front. Android 4.0 will run the processes, while additional features include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, GPS and global radio support for GSM, UMTS, CDMA and LTE connections. The Optimus LTE II measures in at a mere 9.2 mm thin and will surely be at the top of the bench mark tests once it makes its rounds.
