Today LG has unveiled yet another Optimus branded device that fills in a low end void of Android devices in Brazil!

The LG Optimus L1 II Tri is a new Android based smart phone with an amazingly odd name but also a feature that is rarely, if ever seen. The LG Optimus L1 II Tri is Brazilian bound and packs in a spec sheet that will transport you back to 1999. The best thing that can be said about this new handset explains its Tri nomenclature. The device can hold and use up to 3 different SIM cards. In essence the handset can have three different phone numbers and even three different data plans with three different carriers. While the reason why three SIM cards are needed, is still partially a mystery to us, the L1 II Tri makes it possible. Unfortunately, that is about the coolest thing this new handset has to offer. The device starts with a 3 inch touch screen display that produces a 240×320 pixel resolution at 133 pixels per inch. The screen gives its end users access to Android version 4.1 Jelly Bean and is built into a 13.3 mm thick housing. Internally the handset packs a QUALCOMM Snapdragon S1 system chip that uses a single core ARM A5 1 GHz processor. Additionally the handset sports 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of storage, expandable micro SD memory up to 32 GB and an unlisted GPU. The L1 II Tri also comes with a 2 mega pixel camera with a few features including video recording. Powering this tiny new smart phone is a 1540 mAh battery. The handset also comes with GPS, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi and Micro USB 2.0.
