The LG Optimus 4X HD Set to Release, Provide 4 Cores and HD Goodness To the Masses
In the last few weeks we have seen and heard a lot from LG. Yesterday we touched on a new LG super phone that is making its leaky unofficial rounds on the interwebs. The LG LS970 or Eclipse as it is now called is an amazingly high powered handset that is sure to cause a stir upon its maiden voyage. However this device, if it ever comes into fruition is a few months out and the likes of LG’s current “super phone” is getting ready for its international debut. Back in February LG unveiled its Optimus 4X HD upon the world and now it’s time to get real!
After months of waiting in the shadows, ongoing competitive bench marks and being compared to all its competition the LG Optimus 4X HD is ready to meet some end users. With the likes of the Galaxy S III and the HTC One series devices, the quad cores are shipping and LG is joining the fray. The Optimus 4X HD will be available starting next month in “key markets starting in Western Europe”. So those in places like Germany, Sweden, Italy and Poland can expect the devices availability to start popping up next month, while “Asia, CIS, South and Central America” are slated to receive the handset in the “coming months”. In the current state of HD over load it seems that anyone can stamp an HD tag on pretty much everything, the difference? The LG Optimus 4X HD is indeed high definition. From its screen to its internals! This new handset packs in an amazing amount of power and a beautiful screen. From the outside in the Optimus 4X HD houses a 720p HD IPS LCD touch screen that provides a 720×1280 pixel resolution at 312 pixels per inch. Power for such an amazing screen comes from a super large 2150 mAh battery. Processing comes from a NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-Core chip set that clocks in at 1.5 GHz. It also sports a graphics processor, 1 GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. If that is not enough saving space expandable microSD and microSDHC options are available up to 32GB. Around back of its sleek design you’ll get an 8 mega pixel camera with LED flash that supports auto focus, geo tagging and full 1080p HD video recording. A front facing 1.3 mega pixel camera rounds out its photography skills. Other details include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, micro USB and HDMI connectivity. The Optimus 4X HD is running with the likes of Android version 4.0 and LG’s infamous UI overlay.
