LG G2 Mini Get’s Official April Launch Window
The LG G2 Mini set to launch in April. The phenomenon that is Mini smart phones has really taken off in the last few years. Companies like Samsung, LG and HTC have been making mini variations of their normally large flagship phones for a while now and the idea has seemingly paid off. Every year we see new super large devices like the G2 get perpetuated into the head of the class. Unfortunately for the smaller handed shoppers high powered options were nil…until now! The LG G2 Mini is here and will reach store shelves in the coming weeks.
Way back in February during the hectic week of MWC LG announced their latest G2 variation known simply as the G2 Mini. The announcement however came with no specifics surrounding its availability. Today LG announced the official roll out of the device which is set to “bring premium experience to mid-tier markets”. While pricing is still unknown the device will be arriving to CIS countries starting in April and continue to find its way around the world including stops in Europe, Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. Unfortunately, specific dates for any of these regions are unknown. The G2 Mini will be offered up in gold, red, white or black and will come in both 3G and 4G, single or dual SIM variations. The device starts with a 4.7 inch qHD touch screen display hat offers up a 960×540 resolution and will be built into a 9.8 mm thin housing. Running Android version 4.4 the Mini will get its go from a highly capable 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, or a 1.7 GHz Nvidia Tegra 4i processor the latter being specifically for the LATAM LTE variation of the handset. Additionally the LATAM LTE variation will ship with a 13 mega pixel rear facing camera while the standard version will have an 8 mega pixel sensor. Both versions however will sport a front facing 1.3 mega pixels sensor and pack in an all day 2440 mAh battery. Add in some GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB 2.0, and NFC connectivity and you’re left with a G2 Mini! Any questions?
