The LG Cosmos 3 and Revere 2 Debut at Verizon
Verizon introduces the Cosmos 3 and the Revere 2! The cell phone world is not all amazingly high end super phones that can out run our desktop computers. There are still many devices out there that are simply good old fashioned cell phones. Sure they can do things original handsets only dreamt of, but they are far from keeping up with the galaxies, and i-devices of the day. Two of these devices have been a main stay throughout the smart phone craze. The LG Cosmos and the LG Revere are getting face lifts and upgrades to stay relevant.
LG and Verizon have teamed up again to launch the next generation LG Cosmos and LG Revere devices. Right out of the starting gate both phones will cost you nothing, other than a two year service agreement with big red. The LG Cosmos 3 continues with its sliding design and opens to a horizontally positioned four row QWERTY keyboard with directional pad. When closed the Cosmos 3 is an inconspicuous bar styled cell phone with a standard dialer and navigation keys. The screen on this new slider measures in at 2 inches uses QVGA technologies and offers up a 320×240 pixel resolution. It also packs in a 1.3 mega pixel camera that can snap shots up to a 1280×960 pixel resolution. The device comes with expandable micro SD memory options, as well as connectivity like Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR. The Revere 2 is the successor to the original Revere flip phone throne and offers up most of the same but in a clam shell, or flip style design. It too comes with a 1.3 mega pixel camera and Bluetooth version 2.1+EDR. Its internal screen measures in at 2 inches while its external screen is slightly under an inch. The Revere 2 as well as the Cosmos 3 also sports a speaker phone, a mobile web application, mobile email and an instant messaging client. The Revere 2 is free ninety nine within in the terms of a new contract; it is $200 bucks for a prepaid version, while the Cosmos 3 is a mere $190?
