The LG Optimus L7 Emerges as the LG Venice with a Boost!
Early on in the smart phone race, high end devices were pretty limited to post paid carrier options. Recently as higher end smart phones emerge they have found themselves on the likes of some of the very best pre-paid carriers. Smart phones like the iPhone, some Samsung Galaxy S devices and a slew of others have found themselves on the shelves of pre-paid carriers like Virgin Mobile, Cricket and Boost Mobile. The latest in awesomeness has leaked intentions on adding a new smart phone option to the likes of Boost Mobile. The LG Optimus L7 could be a potential new option for Boost Mobile and the line up just continues to grow.
As better options like the Galaxy S II and Kyocera Hydro hit the shelves of Boost Mobile it is clear the company is revamping their offerings and a new mid range option from LG will make the list of options just that much stronger. The LG Optimus L7 was announced a while back amongst a slew of other L series devices from the manufacturer. At the time of their announcement the LG L series of devices “should be available in the near future” and it looks like there is a line on where the L7 is headed. EVleaks has done it again with a new leak on the L7’s future as the LG Venice. According to the leaky Twitter account the LG Optimus L7 will be rebranded as the LG Venice and will sell alongside the Hydro and Galaxy S II with Boost Mobile. The Optimus L7 recently made its way to US Cellular as the LG Splendor and now its Boost Mobile’s turn. If you’re unfamiliar the Optimus L7 or Venice in this case is not necessarily on the high end but can surely handle anything you toss at it. The Venice will run with Android version 4.0 out of the box and the operating system and general computation will get its go from a more than capable single core 1 GHz processor and Adreno 200 graphics processor. The Venice’s screen measures in at 4.3 inches and carries a WVGA quality resolution of 480×800 at 217 pixels per inch. Internally you can expect 512 MB of RAM, 2.4 GB of internal storage and expandable microSDHC memory up to 32 GB. Around back the LG Venice will pack in a 5 mega pixel camera that comes with a slew of features including video recording capabilities. Up front an additional .3 mega pixel camera is ready. Additional connectivity comes from Bluetooth version 3.0, Wi-Fi, micro USB 2.0, DLNA and NFC. While pricing and release dates of the LG Venice are still unknown it will most likely be released sooner than later and be very affordable.
