iPhone Owners Get More!
While not a scientifically executed poll, the dating website OKCupid asked nearly 10,000, 30 year old smartphone users how many sexual partners they have had. The results were actually quite astounding. iPhone owners simply get more than their BlackBerry and Android OS counterparts. As an iPhone writer for WirelessGround, I can’t help but chuckle. While I am certain (okay, really really hoping) that no one makes their choice in a partner based on what smartphone they use—“OMG, a Palm Pixie? I don’t want to ever see you again!”—smartphones certainly are the new status symbol.
The results from the poll were as follows: Android men, 6 partners, BlackBerry men, 8.1 and iPhone men, 10. The ladies beat the men and scored 6.1, 8.8 and 12.3 respectively. Some leaked BlackBerry marketing documents on demographics have already shown that smartphone owners are more likely to be college educated and make more than their regular phone counterparts, and thus you would assume more liberal in their life decisions than the rest of the population.
Of course, the poll data certainly doesn’t bode well for Android men and the geekdom that seems to come along with the open smartphone platform looks like its raising its ugly head. Sorry Android users, couldn’t resist there. I doubt the accuracy of the poll though and think the real numbers are a little closer than it says. Still, this just means those annoying iPhone users have yet another thing to gloat about. The last thing we need are more self-important Apple users.
So now I am going to ask you all if you think that this poll has any truth to it. Does having an iPhone make you more attractive? More adventurous? What about BlackBerry users? Hopefully some Android users can weigh in with their side of the story.poll, Apple iPhone, Android, BlackBerry
