A Few Leaky Photos of the Forth Coming Huawei Ascend P2
The Huawei Ascend P2 leaks a bit more before MWC. This time of year is usually jam packed with rumors, leaks and speculation. Why you ask? Well, Mobile World Congress will be under way in just a few weeks from now. This event is unlike CES as the focus is solely on mobile devices. Now whether companies are intentionally leaking details or not is up for speculation, the only thing we know is details and spec’s pre-launch are awesome! The latest smart phone to hit the rumor mill is the Huawei Ascend P2. The device has been showing off more and more of its self since CES, when Huawei’s Richard Yu let the folks at Engadget know that the Ascend P series device would get a bit of an update come MWC.
Fast forward a few months and pictures of the actual hardware have emerged. Toward the end of last month the P2 made its first unofficial appearance in the form of “product shots” or renderings. While that initial leak spilled some of the detailed beans on the P2, today we are lucky enough to have an even clearer picture. So what the Ascend P2 all about? Well, it’s about power, thinness and a tad of awesome! Digi.tech.qq.com a Chinese based tech blog got their hands on some pictures of the device in the wild and it all slowly comes together. The Ascend P2 is expected to be a 4.7 inch full HD handheld that will give its end users access to the latest in Android version 4.1.2. Internally she’s said to pack in a more than capable Huawei developed quad core processor that clocks in at 1.8 GHz. Additional computing powers will be provided by 2GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage as well as expandable microSDHC memory. Around back it’s all but confirmed that the Ascend P2 will sport a 13 mega pixel camera and house a 2200 mAh battery. Unfortunately, that’s basically where the buck stops. Price points have been rumored as low as $480 bucks, and an announcement is more than expected at MWC in a few short weeks.
