HTC Trophy Becomes Official May 26th via Verizon

Today is the big red day of greatness. In the last weeks we have seen the official announcement of about 4 news smart phones heading to Verizon’s stable. We’ve seen the launch of the HTC Merge, Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and the LG Revolution. However, to my dismay we seemed to have missed covering the 4th. The HTC Trophy is a big reds first WP7 device and is launching today along with the aforementioned devices. WP7 was officially announced last year and Verizon made it a point to not carry devices that use the operating system until 2011. Well big red customers, your time has come to get your hands on the tiled goodness of WP7 the HTC Trophy is available today and selling quick and is already sold out online. But what is all the hype about, let’s take a look see.

The HTC Trophy is a powerful new smart phone from HTC that ships with the latest in WP7 software. The HTC Trophy supports both CDMA and GSM technology which makes it a global phone that can be used pretty much anywhere in the world. HTC’s Trophy packs a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor and carries 576 MB of RAM and 512 MB of ROM. The camera on the Trophy sports a 5 mega pixel specification with auto focus and the ability to record video in 720p HD. The candy bar design sports the expected WP7 button set at the bottom of its 3.8 inch capacitive touch screen. This 3.8 inch screen has a pixel resolution of 480×800 and displays over 16 million colors. You can expect 16 GB of storage and all the other standards including Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. The HTC Trophy will run you about $150 bucks on a new contract and will get you a free Xbox 360 game if you pick one up before July 15th. The HTC Trophy is an excellent device and surely there are many happy big red customers at this point, but the only question left is which model of the 4 released today is right for you.
