HTC Pyramid gets Leaky – again
Since about February, the HTC Pyramid has been showing up in the normal rumor rounds across the interwebs. Details of the HTC Pyramid sounded too good to be true just a few months ago, today however those same details seem to have been confirmed with the HTC Pyramids most recent leak. Dual-core HTC phones anyone? That sounds good to me. The Pyramid is rumored to hit the open market around May and further details point to a T-Mobile launch. So let’s take a look at the amazing HTC Pyramid.
The new leak and pictures come to the world via XDA. The HTC Pyramid as you can tell sports a very unique build. Its standard candy bar design is nicely detailed on its backside with a rubberized material interweaving with a brushed metal. The combination of the material looks nice and seemingly serves a purpose (grip). The front side of the HTC Pyramid is pretty much all screen. 4.3 inches of qHD touch screen to be exact. That’s a large extremely nice thing to look at, but what’s really important is the stuff under the screen that you can’t stare at. Under the screen of the HTC Pyramid sits a 1.2 GHz dual core processor that could potentially power a small government. What I mean is its super fast and amazingly powerful. Couple its dual-core processor with 768MB of RAM and what you get is one hella of a computer in your pocket. Other details on the HTC Pyramid give the unit an 8 mega pixel rear facing camera that can record video in full HD 1080p. Yes on a phone. The front facing camera on the HTC Pyramid is set at VGA quality. The newest leaks put Android 2.3.2 on the HTC Pyramid skinned with the latest version of HTC Sense 3.0.
So just in case that’s not sinking in – HTC Pyramid = 4.3 inch qHD touch screen, 1.2 dual core processor, 768MB of RAM, an 8 mega pixel camera, video recording at 1080p, Android 2.3.2 and HTC Sense 3.0.
Let’s take a second and let that sink in.
However you feel about the HTC Pyramid, look over those specs one more time and remember all higher end smart phones will be like this in the very near future.
Original rumors put the launch of the HTC Pyramid with T-Mobile branding and arriving around May. The HTC Pyramid for all intensive purposes is essentially the recently launched HTC EVO 3D, just sans the 3D of course. A dual core powered HTC device intriguing anyone? I know I’m just about sold.
