HTC’s New Mid Range Handsets Headed to China providing the Desire of a Dragon
When a company hits the nail on the head with a perfect build and price point you tend to see them in the news for a while. Samsung has taken over the mobile airwaves when they decide to drop a new Galaxy device and it looks as if the last few weeks it was HTC in the spotlight. HTC stole the show recently with their launch of the One series devices as well as the HTC EVO LTE 4G. The One X, One S, One V and EVO variation are all headed stateside but there are some rather desirable devices that have just leaked out and are headed to the largest mobile market on earth, China.
HTC announced their “Dragon Series” devices a few months back and are finally getting around to releasing the new handsets under the Desire brand. The three different devices will be branded under the Desire moniker, labeled the Desire VT, Desire V and the Desire VC. The three devices are all slated to launch sometime later this month for separate China based carriers and are positioned to hit the mid range market. While these new phones all have the same specs it should be pointed out that the HTC Desire VC T328d and HTC Desire VT T328t both sport dual SIM functionality while the third HTC Desire V T328w does not. The new Desire series devices will run the very latest in Android version 4.0, also known as Ice Cream Sandwich and of course will come with the latest in HTC Sense version 4.0. The three models all pack in a 4.0 inch touch screen that sports Super LCD technologies with WVGA pixel resolutions. Underneath these underwhelming touch screen resides a 1GHz single core chip set that is backed by 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. Expandable memory has also made its way into these new Desire devices giving end users expandable memory up to 32GB. Other details give these new Desires a 5 mega pixel rear facing camera and Beats Audio, which will give its end users music a Beats boost when using its speaker and or connected headphones. The Desire V aka HTC V T328w, has been priced at around $318 dollars or 1,9999 yuan. Pricing on the other handsets has not been confirmed, however if you’re interested you can expect the devices to be right around the same cost. China Mobile customers will get the Desire VT; China Unicom will be using the Desire V and China Telecom will get the option to buy the Desire VC.
