HTC myTouch 4G Slide Gets pictured non-Blurry Cam style
The HTC Double Shot is the code name for a very unique myTouch slider that has been making its rounds on the interwebs rumor mill for the past few months. From T-Mo road maps to agent profiles to good ol’ fashioned blurry cam leaks the HTC Double Shot or myTouch slider has been all over the place. Until now the only thing the internet’s did not get is pictures, you know the non blurry cam kind. That wish was granted over the weekend and the new QWERTY laden myTouch DoubleShot is now exposed. This newly unofficial myTouch 4G slider is at this point highly anticipated and most likely the underlining reason behind the demise of the HTC G2. But is it for good reason? Let’s take a look at what we know about the myTouch 4G slider.
We have seen it pictured in Mr. blurrycam leaks in the past, we have seen its FCC approved sticker and now thanks to the folks over at T-MoNews we get a peak at the new HTC myTouch 4G sans the BodyGlove cases and blur. The pictures snapped by TmoNew’s ninja’s as they like to call them show off, well a sliding myTouch 4G. The myTouch slide seems to have around the same size screen as its non QWERTY cousin, which would put it around 3.8 inchs. However the larger than life bezel found toward the top of this spied unit looks to be a bit much. Hopefully it is trimmed down for a larger screen upon release. According to PhoneArena the new myTouch 4G Slider has a 480×800 pixel resolution which will make for a crispy display. Other details that were confirmed by TmoNew’s ninja is the myTouch 4G Slider will be fully equipped and running Android’s Gingerbread operating system and come fully skinned with HTC Sense 3.0, “but with some specific myTouch features”. So that’s good, because if HTC or Tmo forgot the bloat, well then something would be terribly wrong. The other main feature here and assumingly more important is its full QWERTY keypad which is described by the source as being “amazing”. But depending on how you feel about 4 row QWERTY’s without dedicated numeral pad you can be the judge of its amazing-ness. Other details that have leaked on the myTOuch 4G Slide confirm it has an 8 mega pixel camera. The comparison of the myTouch 4G Slide and the HTC Sensation are brought up again, stating that is “fast”.
The new myTouch 4G Slide coming to Tmo soon and initial leaky-ness puts that release sometime within the month of July. This is THE device to have if you need a QWERTY keypad in your life. The myTouch 4G Slide is said to be a bit heavier then the G2 but surely with its improved specs and slightly larger screen that’s ok.
