HTC Mozart Specs Leaked
The coming Mozart from HTC will be arriving in the UK sometime near the end of October. US customers will most likely be waiting until sometime in November to get their hands on one, but at least the news from Engadget can bring a little warmth into your heart until then. Here are the specs for the HTC Mozart:
- 3.7”, 800 x 480 pixel touchscreen
- 1 GHz processor (that seems to be becoming the norm now)
- A whopping 8 MP camera with Xenon flash and 720p HD video recording
- Bluetooth, A-GPS, and Wi-Fi naturally
- 8 GB of internal storage
- 119 x 60.5 x 11.9mm (HxWxD)
- Compass, proximity sensor and more
- Windows Phone 7 OS
The HTC Mozart will be one of the first smartphones available with Windows Phone 7 (WP7), so expect it to come under heavy scrutinity when it launches. HTC usually makes some pretty quality devices, so hopefully it will impress. It will also be nice to see WP7 finally running in the wild. Bets on whether or not it will be a flop? Microsoft sure seems to be confident that WP7 will allow it to reclaim some of its former smartphone glory, but with the way iOS and Android seem to be grabbing both corporations and consumers alike, that will be a difficult battle.
Of course, Microsoft being the massive company that it is, will always have a few billion dollars to throw at developers and manufacturers, so expect WP7 to have plenty of support for at least several years even if it flops. I don’t think it will flop, but I am not convinced yet that WP7 will become a popular alternative to the huge players in the market—BlackBerry, iOS and Android. We will have to wait and see.
Any of you readers giddy to get your hands on a WP7 device? Let me know. Will be the HTC Mozart be your first choice? From the specs at least, it sure does look like a nifty little machine.htc mozart, HTC, Microsoft, windows phone 7, WP7
