More HTC Endeavor Details Surface, Excellence Ensues
Do you remember the HTC Endeavor, aka One X, aka Edge, aka Ville? Rumors on this next generation super phone started leaking out in November of last year, and since then the leaky goodness has had anyone interested on the edge of their seat waiting for more details. Well, good news! The Endeavor has gotten some more details to drool over before the devices rumored announcement come MWC. With the new details bubbling up around this phone it seemingly just gets better. Quad Core processing, super clear HD screens and enough power to keep your local government up and running, the HTC Endeavor is shaping up to be a pretty impressive smart phone.
The HTC Endeavor is set to be the next super phone from HTC and it packs in all the power it needs to push the envelope and set a new standard. The new information on this forthcoming monster phone has come from MoDaCo.Com and it just keeps getting better. Over the course of the last few months, the world has gotten a better feel as to what this new HTC phone will provide. According to the site HTC will be using a Super LCD touch screen as opposed to the previous rumors that the Endeavor will use HTC standard, AMOLED screens. The said screen is slated to measure in at 4.7 inches and provide 720p HD pixel resolutions. The site goes on to point at a super thin design. Unfortunately with no exact dimensions to quote, the build is said to measure in at “THIN without compromising HTC’s renowned build quality”. While there are a slew of super thin phones on the market, HTC does not reside in the category. The Endeavor is said to change all of that whilst keeping with HTC’s build quality. MoDaCo goes on to point out that the new super phone will sport on screen soft keys, while only having a power button and volume rockers as hardware buttons. Additional details state the Endeavor, as expected will ship with Beats Audio software and a pair of Beats ear buds. But wait there is more. Similar to one of its already available cousins the Endeavor is said to be naked when it comes to expandable microSD. With that being a major bummer, the Endeavor should ship in 32GB varieties. In a move perpetuated by Apple with the announcement of the iPhone 4, the Endeavor will also require microSIM cards. Internally the Endeavor is confirmed to carry a next generation Tegra3 processor, as it has been confirmed as a “‘nVidia AP33 1.5GHz / XMM6260’” by the source. Add in 1GB of RAM and an 1800 mAh battery, (which may or may not be removable) and you have all the power you will need to stay ready. Additional information confirms the new devices HSPA radio, Bluetooth 4.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, A-GPS, a motion sensor, FM radio, a light sensor, gyro, proximity sensor, a digital compass and NFC connectivity. Around back an 8 mega pixel camera is taking your pics and recording your video in full 1080p HD with stereo audio recording, up front a 1.3 mega pixel shooter is available for HD video calling. Last and surely not least, the HTC Endeavor is ready to make the best of your mobile life with the latest and greatest in Android operating systems with Ice Cream Sandwich, or version 4.0. Additionally the latest in HTC Sense version 4.0 is said to be skinning this new powerhouse.
