The HTC Desire 310 Leaks Out in Europe
The HTC Desire 310 unintentionally leaks out in Europe. The HTC Desire has a long history of awesome. The original HTC Desire launched back in 2010 and in short order gained a loyal legion of end users. The physical button set with a light based scrolling sensor really gave its users a glimpse into the future of Android. Fast forward a few years and a few iterations of the Desire and you’ll notice the namesake is still going strong. Back in November the Desire 601 launched with Virgin Mobile, shortly thereafter the name popped up again in Russia and the Ukraine as the Desire 400 and today new details give us a bit of insight into the Desire 310.
Earlier this morning another mid range HTC Desire popped up for a brief period of time on HTC’s own website. Shortly after its appearance however the page was removed. Luckily for anyone interested, the interwebs jotted down the handsets specifics and were even quick enough to grab pictures. According to the details the Desire 310 will be the first of the group to use a MediaTek processor. A bit of news from last year, surrounding HTC and their plans moving forward, stated they were to use these particular processors in upcoming models. This would scale back the company’s operations a bit save them some dollars and ultimately allow devices like this Desire 310 to be sold at a very affordable price. According to the leak, the Desire 310 will start with a 4.5 inch 480×854 touch screen that will give its end users access to Android version 4.2.2. The handset measures in at 11.25 mm thin, weighs 140 grams and packs in a 2000 mAh battery. Delving a bit deeper into the handset we find the MediaTek MT6582 chip set that offers up a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor. Additionally the device runs with 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, expandable micro SD memory and dual SIM functionality. The Desire 310 only supports 3G cellular connectivity, but does have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. No word on pricing and availability, however it is expected appear for sale soon and will be offered as pictured in black or white shades of light.
