HTC Deluxe Leaks Shows its Droid DNA
Do you remember the launch of the HTC Droid DNA last week? If you said yes, you’re more than likely familiar with the rumors surrounding the device leading up to its official Verizon side launch. The Droid DNA is HTC submission into the world of oversized smart phones, otherwise known as phablets. In a world that is mostly dominated by Samsung HTC has tossed their hat in the ring with the DNA, the Japan bound J Butterfly and now the Droid Deluxe. So the Droid DNA has a home here stateside under the keen eye of Verizon, the J Butterfly is a Japanese exclusive, but what about the rest of the world that is looking for some oversized smart phone goodness from HTC?
Enter the HTC Deluxe! While still a rumor in its own right, the DNA was also known as DLX within early parts of the handsets rumor mill and is now considered to be short for Deluxe. The infamous Twitter account @evleaks has pressed some new information to their feed about the HTC Deluxe, which unfortunately is limited this awesome rendering you see pictured. The Deluxe will be the first international variation of the the DNA and share most all specs, or so it is assumed at this point. The one change that kept popping up in early rumors however is the 12 mega pixel camera. If I were a betting man, I would put my money on the fact that the HTC Deluxe will ship with that originally rumored 12 mega pixel sensor! While exact details on the Deluxe have yet to surface it is widel assumed it will not part to much from the DNA’s, well…DNA. The DNA in case your unfamiliar is a new Android 4.1 toting 5 inch S-LCD 3 touch screen device that offers up an amazing 1080×1920 pixel resolution at 441 pixels per inch. It comes packing a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 system chip that has a quad core and clocks in at 1.5 GHz. It also sports an Adreno 320 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and up to 11 GB of user storage. The Droid variant comes with an 8 mega pixel camera with all kinds of camera tricks including full 1080p HD video recording as well as a front facing shooter that clocks in at 2.1 mega pixels. Other connectivity details include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Hotspot, MicroUSB 2.0, MHL, DLNA, and NFC. While these details describe the Droid DNA, it’s a very good bet the majority of these specs will find their way to the Deluxe, should it ever see the light of day.
