The Google Nexus 7 Tablet Leaks Out before Launch
The Google Nexus device has a long standing tradition as excellent hardware that provides a glimpse into the future of Android’s amazing operating system. For years Google would launch the new version of their operating system accompanied by an amazing piece of hardware which was initially designed for Android developers to get the apps in tip top working order. The Nexus handsets are currently under the wing of Samsung; however its original conception was first put forth by HTC. Now a new Nexus device is apparently waiting in the wings with a new manufacturer and form factor.
Last year around this time we got the likes of Samsung’s attempt at an Android tablet with the Galaxy Tab 10.1, this year the rumors have us expecting a pure vanilla bean Android based Nexus Tablet. The leaks and rumors have put the job of manufacturing in the very experienced hands of Asus while all other juicy details lead to a launch at this years’ Google IO conference. Scheduled to take place this week, it seems that the folks over at Gizmodo.Com have gotten their hands on some internal training documents that expose the Nexus 7 tablet for all its worth. According to the leaky documents the Google Nexus 7, as it’s called will be ushering in the latest in Android as well as a new “standard” of hardware for all future Android tablets to follow, or so we wish. The leaked training documents show off the Nexus 7 as a 7 inch slate styled tablet that comes with an IPS touch screen that clocks a 1280×800 pixel resolution and 178 degree viewing angles. Internally the Nexus 7 will pack in a quad core 1.3 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 processor as well as 1 GB of RAM. The Nexus 7 will come in both 8GB and 16GB options and will be priced starting at $199 to $250 respectively. All of this excellent computing power will give Android version 4.1 aka Jelly Bean its go! Additional details from this new leak give the Nexus 7 tablet a 9 hour battery, a 1.2 mega pixel front facing camera, as well as NFC connectivity with Google Wallet pre loaded. While the buck on specs and details stops there it is safe to assume the Nexus 7 tablet will offer up awesomeness at a rather affordable price.
