Google Announces the Long Awaited Nexus 5



Google finally announces the Nexus 5! Finally! This new smart phone, its features and the latest in Android version 4.4, aka KitKat has been lingering around the rumor mill for quite some time now. The device and its brand new operating system has leaked and surfaced to a point that the launch of the actual device was mostly a surprise to absolutely no one. Nonetheless the anticipation and excitement surrounding the Nexus 5 grew to heights normally reserved for devices pumped out by the Apple and Samsung. The good news is the LG and Google finally decided to take the wraps off this thing, the bad news? They sold out in about a half hour!

The new Nexus 5 if you haven’t heard is built by LG and loosely inspired by the companies recently launched, and ever popular G2. The Nexus 5 has been leaking and exposing itself all over the world for the last few months and no secrets are left. The new Nexus 5 starts with a 5 inch 1080×1920 IPS LCD touch screen with a density of 445 pixels per inch that gives its end users access to the latest and greatest version of Android 4.4 aka Kitkat. Internally the Nexus 5 comes with a 2300 mAh battery that powers a Snapdragon 800 chip set that uses a quad core 2.3 processor, an Adreno 330 GPU, 2 GB of RAM and up to 32 GB of internal storage. Around back an 8 mega pixel camera with full HD video recording and a whole host of camera tricks. Additionally the device houses a front facing 1.3 mega pixel sensor for all those all important selfies. The Nexus 5 also packs in GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, micro USB and even NFC. The long wait is over! The 16 GB Nexus 5 is priced at $349 and the 32 GB variation is listed at $400!
